The earth gives. Amaya preserves.
The meaning of Amaya
Amaya carries multiple meanings across cultures — Earth Goddess in Sanskrit, Heavenly Valley in Japanese, Beloved Daughter in Aymara. For us, it means one thing: the earth's goodness, preserved.
Why we started
India loses a significant share of its fruit and vegetable harvest every year to spoilage before it ever reaches a plate — a gap between what farms grow and what kitchens and factories can actually use in time. That gap is where Amaya began: a way to capture a harvest at its peak and hold onto it, without leaning on preservatives or shortcuts to do it.
At the same time, food manufacturers, pharma formulators, and home cooks all wanted the same thing for different reasons: ingredients that were consistent, clean-label, and ready to use. Amaya was built to bridge that distance — from farm to factory, and from farm to kitchen — one dehydrated batch at a time.
Our process
Farm sourcing
We work directly with partner farmers across India's growing belts, paying fair prices for produce at peak ripeness. Every lot is logged at intake, so every finished batch can be traced back to the farm it came from — a chain of custody that matters as much to a pharma buyer's auditor as it does to a home cook who wants to know where their food comes from.
